Samurai is committed to supplying high-performance aerosol coating products responsibly. From aerosol container safety and chemical classification to product labelling, documentation and professional-use guidance, compliance is an integral part of how we bring Samurai technology to the UK.

Product Safety

Ensuring aerosol products meet applicable requirements for their intended market.

Chemical Compliance

Classification, labelling and communication of chemical hazards.

Clear Documentation

Providing Safety Data Sheets and technical information where applicable.

Responsible Use

Helping consumers and professionals understand how products should be handled, applied, stored and disposed of.

Aerosol Safety from Can to Application

Aerosol dispensers supplied to the UK are subject to specific regulatory requirements covering areas including construction, pressure safety, testing, marking and labelling.

For Great Britain, relevant aerosol dispensers are governed by the Aerosol Dispensers Regulations 2009, as amended. Current government guidance allows compliant aerosols placed on the GB market to use either the UKCA or reversed epsilon marking, subject to the applicable requirements. Northern Ireland follows a different regulatory framework.

Samurai's compliance processes cover, as applicable:

  • Aerosol container requirements
  • Pressure and safety requirements
  • Filled-aerosol testing
  • Flammability assessment
  • Required warnings and markings
  • Product traceability
  • Chemical hazard labelling

2K Coating Safety

2K Coating Safety

Two-component coatings can contain hazardous substances that require appropriate controls during application.

Where a Samurai product contains isocyanates, spraying can create exposure risks and users must follow the product-specific safety information and applicable workplace requirements.

For professional users, UK requirements can include appropriate training, exposure controls and respiratory protection. HSE specifically warns that spraying isocyanate-containing paints can create significant exposure risks; employers have duties regarding training and safe working practices.
