Surface preparation
Clean the surface to remove dirt and dust
Sanding
Wet sand the surface with g320/400 until no more gloss.
Prime
Apply Granular Texture Epoxy primer, with each layer 5 mins drying time. After spraying 3 layers, wait for 1-2 hours for touch dry.
colour (base coat)
Allow approximately 2–3 minutes between each layer of Truck Bed Liner before applying the next coat. Spray each layer with distance 1.5-2.5ft
Curing
Wait at least 8 hours for full cure

Make sure to spray at a distance of 15cm
Painting in humidity
Humidity will affect the drying time and how the paint dries, sticks, and looks on a surface.
High humidity slows drying, causes blushing and hazing, and results in poor adhesion
Wrong waiting time between layers
Waiting too long between layers will cause low adhesion. Not waiting enough time will also cause low adhesion but to the previous surface.
Touching before curing
This wil leave permanent marks on the paint which you will need to redo the job to get rid of it

Yes. Most surface scratches, paint scuffs and small gouges can be repaired at home using the correct preparation, primer, colour coat and clear coat. If the truck bed is cracked, badly distorted or damaged around parking sensors or mounting points, seek professional advice before starting.
Use an automotive paint system that is compatible with the bed material and the level of protection required. A typical system may include:
- A suitable metal or plastic primer (Granular Texture Epoxy Primer)
- A compatible colour coat dedicated for truck bed
For beds exposed to heavy tools, building materials or frequent loading, a dedicated impact-resistant bed-liner coating may be more appropriate than a conventional automotive finish.
Automotive paint can provide a smooth, attractive finish for truck beds used lightly or fitted with a protective load mat. However, ordinary automotive paint is not designed to withstand the same heavy abrasion and impact as a dedicated truck-bed liner. Choose the coating according to how the vehicle will be used.
No. The bed normally remains fitted to the pickup. Remove detachable accessories where practical and mask the cab, rear window, lights, bumper, wheels, trim and surrounding bodywork carefully to protect them from overspray.
Yes, if the original coating is firmly attached and compatible with the new paint. Clean, degrease and sand it thoroughly before spraying. Peeling, blistered or unstable paint must be removed rather than covered.
Painting directly over loose or active rust is not recommended. The corrosion can continue beneath the coating and cause bubbling, staining or peeling. The surface should be cleaned back to stable material and treated with an appropriate corrosion-control system.
Samurai Truck Bed Liner paint is categorised as a 2K (two-component) system and typically takes approximately 1 hour to dry completely. Once activated, this paint cannot be stored or reused. It remains usable for approximately 6-8 hours after activation
