Spraying too close
Make sure to spray at a distance of 15cm
Painting in humidity
Humidity will affect the drying time and
Wrong waiting time between layers
Waiting too long between layers will cause low adhesion. Not waiting enough time will also cause low adhesion but to the previous surface.
Touching before curing
This wil leave permanent marks on the paint which you will need to redo the job to get rid of it

FAQS
Yes. Most surface scratches, paint scuffs and small gouges can be repaired at home using the correct preparation, primer, colour coat and clear coat. If the bumper is cracked, badly distorted or damaged around parking sensors or mounting points, seek professional advice before starting.
A typical bumper restoration requires:
- Cleaner and degreaser
- Sandpaper in suitable grades
- Putty filler for deeper scratches
- Epoxy Primer/Plastic Primer
- Colour-matched base coat (eg. Tintatek)
- Clear top coat
The exact products depend on whether the damage is limited to the clear coat, has reached the colour layer or has exposed the bare plastic.
Begin with a suitable medium-grade abrasive (g240/g320) to smooth deeper scratches, then move progressively to finer grades before priming. After the primer has dried, use finer sandpaper (g600) to create a smooth surface for the colour coat. Avoid using very coarse paper unnecessarily, as it can leave deep sanding marks in the plastic.
Yes, particularly where bare plastic or filler is exposed. Bare plastic normally requires a compatible adhesion promoter followed by primer. This helps the paint bond correctly, creates an even surface and reduces the risk of peeling, cracking or an uneven finish.
Use your vehicle’s paint code rather than choosing a colour by eye. Depending on the manufacturer, the code may be found inside a door shut, under the bonnet, in the boot or in the vehicle handbook.
Age, sunlight and previous repairs can make existing paint differ from the original factory colour. Our Tintatek technology allow you to blend and match the colour to your vehicle's current finish, ensuring a perfect match despite any fading or variation.
Yes, if you are using a base-coat colour system. The clear coat provides gloss, depth and protection against weather, UV exposure and everyday wear. Apply it within the recommended recoat window after the colour coat has flashed off. When using the 2K aerosol clear coat, always follow the safety instructions and use the specified respiratory and protective equipment.
